Got some exciting news to share! My spoken word poetry recording ‘Lines of a Young Man’s Wrinkle’ is out. Yes, it’s taken a while to release it formally, especially if you’ve heard me perform it at any of my live shows. I had to ensure it came out perfectly, and so with each live performance I got feedback, tweaked it some more, did some collaborations, and finally, it’s out now as a downloadable poetry recording.

Saw a youth try to go legal, but it's hard breaking off the hold of these dirty deals
Trying to keep it real, but still...
It's hard being a man
and my girl left me,
for a Yahoo boy, cruising a C-Class Benz……..
CHECK IT OUT!!!
The lines above are a teaser of the full lyrics, and before you ask, no, my girl did not leave me for a Yahoo boy. But we’ve all heard these stories. We know how painful it is when love is defined on how much the man makes, as opposed to what he has to offer as a person. Many people have lost their loved ones to Niger Delta militants, due to no fault of theirs. Insecurity and fear seem to have formed a permanent cloak on the nation. I kept going over these thoughts in my mind, and the culmination of my musing is ‘Lines of a Young Man’s Wrinkle’.

In essence, ‘Lines of a Young Man’s Wrinkle’ expresses the unspoken agony of many Nigerian youths. I feel there’s something in it for everybody and I’m sure you’ll agree with me when you listen.
